Bristol Balloon Fiesta ~ August 9th

www.bristolfiesta.co.uk - lots of info on this site - check it out The plan is to meet at 3pm at the Dovecote Arms, at the outside seating area. We will go up to the main area then have free time to explore together before meeting again at 5.15pm to watch the balloon launch - we will meet near the security office as it will hopefully be quieter there and easier to find each other! The launch is at 6pm but there is a disabled viewing area that we can use on a first come-first served basis so best to get there early.

After the balloon launch there is the option of dinner at the Dovecote Arms (next to the advanced booking car park) - it is accessible but we have to book in advance as will be very busy.

Disabled Access at the Fiesta is the link for information on disabled access. If you would like a scooter to get around the site (the site is big) then you can book one through Shopmobility:

Shopmobility

Electric scooters will be available for hire from Shopmobility via Gate 6 - NEW Dovecote Arms entrance and the YELLOW car park. However, parking and scooters will have to be booked in advance as they are reserved on a 'first come, first served' basis.

It is strongly advised that equipment is reserved in advance by contacting..
Shopmobility on: Email:
apqz30@dsl.pipex.net
Bookings and enquiries: Tel: 01202 661770

Their opening hours are: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10am - 4pm. An answerphone service is in place out of office hours, which will be answered during opening times.
There is also limited availability on the day but again it is on a 'first come, first served' basis. Please be aware that although there is an internal road within Ashton Court, the estate is predominantly a green field site with rough terrain and undulating surfaces. For more information about access to the site, please contact the Fiesta office via our online enquiry form or by telephoning 0117 953 5884.

Public transport to the site There is a special bus service from Bristol Temple Meads (mainline train station) to the Fiesta - leaves every 10 minutes from the station - £2.50 single journey, or free of charge for Diamond Travelcard holders - Public Transport to the Fiesta is the link for more information of this service.
